As a modern private bank, our client focuses on the needs of very wealthy private clients, internationally active medium-sized companies as well as demanding middle-market entrepreneurial families and institutional investors. Our client is active in Germany and France in the main business areas of Private Wealth Management, Asset Management and Corporates & Markets. The areas of activity are closely interlinked and fully geared to the needs of discerning clients. 

Position:
As part of the Corporate Development Division, the future Corporate M&A Associate (m/f/d) is a member of a specialized Corporate M&A Team. The team´s responsibilities are the identification, review, and analysis of potential M&A opportunities for the Group. As a member of the team the future M&A Associate (m/f/d) will predominantly execute Corporate M&A activities, Corporate Venture, project development and strategic analysis.

Main tasks:

  1. Market screening
  2. Industry and company research
  3. Review of potential acquisition targets
  4. Financial, strategic, and fundamental analysis for the contemplated opportunities
  5. Financial modeling and valuation
  6. M&A project management with internal and external parties
    (e.g., due diligence process)
  7. Preparing presentations, briefings, investment memos etc. for senior management
  8. Preparing and/or reviewing the relevant documentation in the context of an M&A process (non-binding offers, binding offers, confirmation letters, SPA review etc.)

Candidate skills:

  1. University degree in finance, economics, business administration, management or similar at a renowned university or business school
  2. Several years of relevant professional experience in the areas of Corporate Finance or M&A at a bank or financial services company or from a specialized consulting or Big Four company
  3. Legal/regulatory knowledge is a plus
  4. Open-minded, curious and interested to learn about and deep dive into new topics
  5. Analytical and structured problem solving skills
  6. Ability to work in a multi-cultural team
  7. Strong written and oral English and German skills
